The rolling, green, farm hills are extraordinary! Up and down every hill there is a sight that makes you go, "Wow!" It's a privilege to see...and especially to see so slow on a bike. Today, I pedaled through Madison County, and for anyone who saw the movie Bridges of Madison County, you have an idea of the surrounding beauty.
I have been coming up 92 from Council Bluffs, Iowa the last couple of days...and unfortunately, there has been no bike shoulder. I have been sharing the road (one lane each way) with fast-moving traffic, and I have been grateful for the courtesy of so many drivers. A couple of "not-so-polite" drivers have taken me off the road a couple of times, and I must admit, I was very happy to get off the bike at day's end!
