Climbing the Rockies!
Today, I pedaled from Montrose to Gunnison, Colorado. It was some of the most beautiful and dramatic country I have ever seen! The cliff mountains and the greenery take your breath away...and what is so unusual is that the scenery can change just over the next mountain pass!
And speaking of mountain passes...
Today, I had two "giants" to climb! Much of the day, I was in "granny gear" just to handle the steepness...but I kept going...mile after mile...pedal stroke after pedal stroke. I'll tell you, though, I felt great mentally after completing today's ride! Physically? Well, let's just say "fatigue and a bit of soreness" would be a pretty darn big understatement, but at this moment, my personal satisfaction and what I had the privilege to see...and do...makes everything worth it.
Amen for persistence and desire, huh?
