Before I take off on the actual Extra Mile America Tour on the 21st, I wanted to connect with a few extra mile organizations in Los Angeles. Unfortunately for me, the nation's second largest city is not on the EMA tour route, but there are so mnay great extra-mile people and organizations that are contributing so much and need to be recognized.

It's hard to pick and choose at times which group to shine a bright light on, but one group really has captured my eye. The group is called, Chrysalis. Since 1984, this organization has helped the economically disadvantaged and homeless find jobs. Last year alone, they helped almost 1,600 people.

Regardless of the economic climate, Chrysalis perseveres in opening up doors, inspiring hope in clients, and making great things happen. And if serving Los Angeles wasn't amazing enough, CEO Mark Loranger has a vision of bringing the Chrysalis mission...and results...to cities across America.

Chrysalis...the people serves...and the staff...stand out in my mind as extra milers of the highest caliber.
